Here are a couple of preditions for predictions to the colours that may be popular this year.
Marsala an earthy red wine colour is the Pantone colour of the year. The name has associations with both wine and spicy Indian food. According to Pantone's researchers it is going to be seen not only in interiors but make up and fashion as well. Colourfutures a subsidary of the paint company Axel Noble, predict a pinky brown colour called Copper Orange. Which to my eyes is not orange at all. Both these colours are part of a trend towards decorating interiors with warm claylike tones. Axel Noble also predict that violet shades and dark greys will be popular. These less reflective earthy and grey colours will impact on lighting a room making them seem darker.
